The above links are to my blog but you do not need to discuss anything there: you can just comment here and that's fine. I just made this account to ask you about this so I have very low karma but I am not a spam and I will eagerly read your replies. I also tried to outline the key systems - in other words, what you would need to model with rules (contains spoilers). I made a list of the key people/places/ideas I think you'd need (contains spoilers). If you aren't into tabletop roleplaying let's just say that it is a toolkit that allows you to write game rules that adapt settings from your favorite novels (as I am doing). The game system is GURPS, but I don't think you need to know about that in particular. So I thought I would give r/Fantasy a try.

#TEPPER TRUE GAME MAP SERIES#
I'm interested in the question: What are the essential parts of the "True Game" series that need to be represented in a roleplaying game? However, I'm not sure where to find people who have read Tepper and are interested in this kind of question. (And it's no spoiler to say that there are dragons, and dungeons.) Buy Smithsonian Sticker Creations: Dinosaurs by Ruth Tepper Brown, Franco Tempesta from Waterstones today Click and Collect from your local Waterstones or. It is, after all, about a game, and throughout the first three books essentially the protagonist is trying out different characters. I'm not a Tepper groupie enough to know if that is true, but the the timeline of D&D's popularity seems to align with the publication date of the first book. I've always thought that Tepper was inspired by Dungeons and Dragons. It has always seemed like a natural fit to me. I'm writing because I am going to try to adapt this series into a tabletop roleplaying game system that I like as a fan/homebrew sort of project (see: what is a tabletop roleplaying game?). Not sure if there are any "Land of the True Game" fans here.
